Teachers: the receiving authority changes
AITSL’s FAQ separates migration assessment from teacher registration. Registration is not a prerequisite for its assessment, although Australian registration may be considered. To teach, the relevant state or territory registration authority remains responsible. Even a registered teacher may need a separate migration assessment if Home Affairs requires one; the document sets can differ.

Physiotherapy: assessment supports a further decision
The Physiotherapy Council describes assessment, migration and registration separately. Its Final Certificate supports the registration process; applicants also need the registration evidence requested through Ahpra and the Physiotherapy Board. A certificate from the assessor does not itself complete registration. This is a physiotherapy example, not a common pathway for every health profession.

DiploWay authority and document handover
Write down who issues each document and who makes the next decision. The linked Western Australia teaching guide keeps that state’s scope; it does not describe all Australian teacher boards. Confirm the applicable regulator before reusing a document list, translation quote or assessment result.
