Western Australia makes its own teaching decision

TRBWA says it may take note of an AITSL teacher skills assessment used for migration but still completes its own comparison of the overseas teaching qualification for its registration process. Qualification recognition, professional suitability and English competency are different evidence stages.

Supervised practice is not the same as years in employment

The Western Australian overseas-teacher guidance asks for evidence of supervised teaching practice completed as part of a teaching qualification, alongside award parchments and academic transcripts. Certain teacher experience can be considered, but cannot replace the absence of an actual teaching qualification.
