Continue to the official guidance ↗An agreement is not blanket acceptance
ARB distinguishes mutual recognition agreements from memoranda that can support further study towards registration. Each agreement limits the qualifications in scope.
Overseas professional registration alone does not establish eligibility under every agreement. ARB describes qualification coverage and additional assessment requirements for international applicants.
Check the transition before choosing an exam
At this source check, ARB says its Registration Assurance Process is implemented while other new arrangements are expected in spring 2027. Its notice describes the October 2026 transition for Part 1 examinations and the UK Adaptation Assessment.
Do not read all changes as already operational. For a booking or an individual transition case, confirm the currently available route directly with ARB.
DiploWay route comparison worksheet
List your academic qualifications, professional registration and any recognition agreement you believe applies. For each agreement, note the qualification coverage and additional evidence requested. Avoid selecting a route merely because your country appears in its title.
Before spending on an assessment or course, record the route’s current status: available, transitioning, or announced for a future period. Ask ARB to confirm how your completed qualifications and existing applications fit that status.
Save the official page and the date you consulted it in your own notes. A change notice can be more relevant than an old application summary during a transition. We keep these distinctions visible so that you can ask a precise question; we do not determine eligibility or substitute a new route for an existing application.
