UK ENIC Statement vs Ecctis QLS: which evidence is being requested?

Check whether the recipient asks for a general qualification comparison, qualification-only QLS evidence, or qualification and English evidence.

What the ENIC Statement describes

The UK ENIC Statement places an overseas qualification in the UK education systems. It does not comment on English proficiency, grades or specific subjects. It can give context to an original qualification; it is not a substitute for the receiving process’s requirements.

QLS has separate qualification and English services

Ecctis’s English Proficiency and Qualification Comparison service concerns both the level of the overseas qualification and the English evidence associated with it. The Qualification Comparison service is a separate qualification-only product. Use the official service checker to identify what the requesting process specifies.

Compare the named service rather than a provider’s brand

The checked UK ENIC standard e-Statement page quotes GBP 69.60. The two checked QLS price pages each quote GBP 210 for their named service. These amounts do not make the products interchangeable. QLS’s target timeframe depends on institution verification and may restart when further documents are needed.

A professional application can ask for an academic comparison

The GDC’s opened ORE application instructions ask for an ENIC Statement alongside qualification evidence. This is an example of a regulator specifying an academic document as part of its process. The document still does not grant professional registration.

DiploWay purpose checklist

Copy the exact document or service name from the receiving office’s requirement. Then mark which question it answers: academic level, English evidence or a regulator’s supporting qualification record. A service brand alone does not identify that question.

Keep the recipient and the provider on separate lines. The provider creates the evidence; the recipient decides what evidence its process accepts. Confirm uncertain wording with the recipient before using the provider’s application flow.

If you already hold a statement, ask whether that particular record serves the present purpose. Do not assume that a more expensive product updates or replaces it for every use.

This guide stops at document and authority selection. It does not choose a visa route, determine language eligibility or decide professional recognition.
