FAU: an internal evaluation has a limited recipient

Florida Atlantic University offers its applicants an internal foreign-credential evaluation or an evaluation from a NACES member. Without an external report, a completed application with official foreign transcripts triggers the internal process automatically. Its internal result is for FAU only and cannot be submitted to another institution.

FAU requests official post-secondary records, an award certificate if graduation is not shown, and official English translations where needed. Send records to the relevant admissions office, not International Student Services. That office prepares the evaluation but does not decide admission; a preliminary Degree Equivalency Review does not replace the official internal FCE.

Emory Laney: an optional report and a later official copy

Emory’s Laney Graduate School does not generally require external evaluations, although some programs strongly recommend them. If supplied, it accepts NACES-affiliated evaluators. Non-English transcripts need translated, notarized versions alongside the originals in one application file.

Uploaded evaluations are unofficial at application. Applicants who receive and accept an offer must provide official evaluation versions. This is the Laney graduate example, not a rule for every Emory program or US college.

DiploWay admissions order check

Write down the program, intake, accepted provider, report type and delivery stage. Ask whether an internal review already meets the request, whether a report is optional, and what becomes necessary only after an offer. A provider’s product label alone does not answer these questions.
