Credentials evaluations for engineering licensure

Check the report recipient

NCEES’s FAQ states that this report is sent to licensing boards for engineering or surveying licensure. It is not sent to a university or employer as a general admission or job-seeking evaluation.

Prepare document verification before purchase

The official materials include the academic transcript, graduation record and course descriptions. NCEES explains that the records must be submitted and verified before the evaluation becomes available to purchase.

DiploWay preparation checklist

Write down the intended state, licence category and receiving board before comparing providers. Ask the board to identify the accepted evaluation and any accreditation exception that applies to its process.

Check the accreditation at the time the degree was awarded, rather than treating the university’s current status as your answer. Ask the relevant authority if the historical programme record is unclear.

Keep the evaluation charge separate from board, exam and other application charges. Arrange university records early, and distinguish submitting documentation from buying the evaluation. This page cannot determine whether your particular degree meets a board’s standard.
