Short answer
French immigration-related qualification evidence depends on the named residence route. A 'talent–salarié qualifié' sub-route specifies a diploma earned in France; other talent routes and EU Blue Card rules differ.

Who decides
The relevant French consulate or residence-permit authority assesses its application; any professional regulator makes a separate decision about practising a regulated occupation.

Check this before paying
Read the Service Public 'carte talent' guidance and the exact route's degree/document subsection, before paying for academic comparability.

When this applies
The named 'salarié qualifié' path requires a qualifying French-awarded credential; an innovative-company employee and an intra-company assignment have separate conditions. The EU Blue Card describes a degree or relevant-experience alternative. The card therefore cannot define one degree-equivalence rule for every permit.

Which document
The diploma, employment evidence or experience records explicitly requested by the chosen official talent category; regulated work may also require the occupational authorization identified in that category.

Avoid the wrong purchase
A French ENIC-NARIC attestation is not a substitute for a route requiring a qualifying French-issued diploma, and no blanket purchased academic comparison requirement follows from the word 'talent'.

What this does not do
These are examples from the official talent permit guidance, not all immigration categories, personal permission advice or an automatic equivalence decision.

Your next official step
Compare the exact named category and its requested diploma or professional-practice evidence on the official Service Public page; ask the receiving authority if a credential document is unclear.

Similar talent labels do not mean the same diploma requirement
France's Service Public distinguishes 'salarié qualifié', innovative-company employment and intra-company assignment within its talent guidance. The 'salarié qualifié' sub-route references a qualifying diploma obtained in France. The EU Blue Card portion separately describes education and relevant professional experience alternatives. Neither establishes a universal foreign-diploma attestation product.

Regulated professional practice is a separate requirement
Where the intended activity is regulated, the Service Public talent documentation section identifies evidence of the right to practise in addition to the named residence documentation. An education comparison by itself does not supply professional authorization.

DiploWay preparation checklist
Identify the already relevant official French residence category and document checklist without trying to infer eligibility from the title of a diploma.
Ask the receiving authority whether it expects the actual academic award, authorized translation, or specifically named comparability evidence. Do not buy a certificate solely because another pathway mentions a degree.
