The Blue Card has a degree route and a work-experience route
IND's European Blue Card page describes qualifying higher-education diplomas and a separate relevant-work-experience alternative. If the applicant relies on a foreign diploma under the education route, IND says Nuffic must evaluate it. That statement is attached to that named immigration process—not every Dutch job application.
The same page separately identifies the need to demonstrate permission to practise a regulated profession. A Nuffic academic comparison is not itself professional registration.

The orientation-year route has its own evidence logic
The IND orientation-year guidance addresses particular graduate and researcher categories, and includes conditions for degrees earned abroad. It identifies when a Nuffic evaluation is relevant for a foreign educational qualification. An orientation-year condition must not be silently imported into a Blue Card or unrelated residence category.
Neither route allows DiploWay to determine an individual's permit eligibility: the receiving IND process and its official documentation are decisive.

What the label 'degree evaluation' fails to tell you
The phrase does not identify the recipient, permit category, legal criterion, or whether experience is an accepted alternative. IND publishes the two routes separately; their academic evidence questions cannot be collapsed into a universal Netherlands equivalence product.
For work in a regulated occupation, follow the separate professional authority identified by the official route.

DiploWay before-you-pay worksheet
Write down the exact IND category already applicable to your question. In a second column, record whether the education route, experience route or professional registration requirement is the issue.
Copy the IND sentence that names an evaluator or evidence document and keep its official page link. Ask the actual receiving authority if that instruction applies to your individual documentation.
Do not commission a general evaluation simply because another Netherlands immigration category mentions Nuffic. The comparison is informational; it is not a residence-permit selector.
